Description
This nano-lot is more than a rare lot: it’s our signature. The one we carry in mind all year, because it captures what we aim to express at the highest level: precision, clarity, elegance—and that quiet emotion that defines truly exceptional coffees.
We grow it in Los Santos, Costa Rica, between 1,600 and 1,800 m. At this elevation, coffee follows a slower rhythm: it develops depth, gains density, and delivers a cup that feels sharper, cleaner—almost “high definition.” It’s demanding terrain, but that’s exactly where our work makes sense.
Choosing Red Geisha is intentional—almost a commitment. It doesn’t simply “perform aromatically”: it requires constant attention and leaves no room for shortcuts. For us, agroforestry isn’t a backdrop; it’s a living balance that protects the farm, stabilizes quality, and refines expression. It’s also what allows this coffee to remain consistent in its ambition while staying faithful to its origin.
In the cup, we wanted an expression that speaks for itself: floral, fruity, subtly deep, with a silky, juicy texture that carries flavor without heaviness. You’ll find crisp notes of bergamot, orange blossom, and peach, with a vibrant lift, natural sweetness, and a lightly wine-like finish that extends the experience with finesse.
This lot also reflects a coherent approach to traceability and commitment: Tarrazú Denomination of Origin, alongside national sustainability programs (NAMA Café, FONAFIFO, Country Carbon Neutral Program). For us, these are markers—evidence of a way of producing, monitoring, and fully standing behind every bean.
What makes this nano-lot unique is the sum of deliberate choices—those that demand experience, control, and a clear vision of what we want to achieve. And the simplest recognition of that approach is written in a rare number: 95.78 under the SCA protocol. It’s the kind of score you don’t merely “aim for”: you earn it, and it reflects a series of right decisions.
Roasted light to preserve aromatic brilliance and terroir clarity, this coffee is packed in a valved freshness bag to protect what matters most: its precision, its complexity, and the signature we’re proud to share.
